After 10 years of academic research on new microscopy techniques, detectors, and image processing
algorithms, Genoa Instruments aims to spread
super-resolution live cell imaging combined with time-resolved spectroscopy
to all research laboratories.
The company will commercialize a new confocal microscope based on
Image Scanning Microscopy. Our microscope will be highly affordable and platform independent,
allowing for tailored solutions as well as for the upgrade of existing widefield and confocal microscopes.
Our innovative super-resolution microscope will constitute a new paradigm in the field of optical microscopy,
potentially establishing as the next generation confocal microscope.
Genoa Instruments was founded in 2019 by Paolo Bianchini, Marco Castello,
Alberto Diaspro, Simonluca Piazza and Giuseppe Vicidomini as a spin-off from the
Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT).
Our multidisciplinary team includes passionate scientists
with expertise in the field of optical super-resolution microscopy, biology, optical design, electronic
engineering and software development. We develop high-performance instruments
to ensure cutting-edge research technology and short development cycles.
We are on a mission to transfer the most advanced super-resolution optical imaging techniques to everyday life applications, including real-time diagnostics, cancer detection, retinal diseases, and digital health. If you are looking for a tailored super-resolution imaging application, let us learn and understand your goal, and develop customized solutions for your needs. We can desing high-performance instruments to ensure cutting-edge research technology and short development cycles. We are constantly looking forward to new collaborations and research projects.
